At Peace in the Heart
At 86 years old, Margaret* had lived a full life—three loving daughters, a long and beautiful marriage with her husband Taylor, and a home filled with stories, laughter, and memories. Yet recently, her nights had become restless. In her dreams, children—unknown but oddly familiar—began appearing. Their visits stirred something deep, a discomfort that felt more emotional than physical, more soulful than she could explain.
Seeking peace, Margaret opened her heart to hypnotherapy.
As she relaxed into trance, her breath softened, and a stillness wrapped around her like a warm blanket. In that sacred space, a long-buried truth gently surfaced. When she was just 21 years old, Margaret had two abortions, both in the third month of pregnancy, one following the other. At the time, it had been the only choice she felt she could make. Life moved on, but the silent grief stayed with her—unspoken, unhealed.
In hypnosis, the presence of the children in her dreams took shape. She saw them—radiant, innocent, waiting not with blame, but with love.
With grace, Margaret gave them names. The first she named Taylor, after her beloved husband. The second she named Jonas, after her grandson, a boy who fills her life with joy. And then, something extraordinary happened. Her late husband Taylor, who had passed away four years earlier, appeared beside her in that space of soul and memory. She saw him not as he had been in his final days, but as the man she first fell in love with—kind, steady, quietly strong.
Margaret spoke to him—words she had longed to say. She shared how, over time, their relationship had grown quiet. She had often needed more communication, more words of tenderness, more emotional presence. And yet, as she looked into Taylor’s eyes in that timeless moment, he said nothing—and said everything.
Without words, he showed her how deeply he had loved her. How present he had always been, even in silence. How proud he was of the life they built together. And most of all, that he would always be with her—with their newly named children, with their daughters, and within the quiet moments of her heart.
The four of them—Margaret, Taylor, little Taylor, and Jonas—shared a timeless embrace. It was a hug of forgiveness, of belonging, of release. Not just for the past, but for the future. As love poured through her being, Margaret extended that peace outward—to her daughters, to all children, to all living beings.
When she returned from trance, her eyes glistened with soft tears. Not of sorrow, but of gratitude. “They have names now,” she whispered. “And they know I love them. And Taylor… he never left. He’s with me. We’re whole again.”
Since then, her dreams have changed. No more unknown visitors—only warmth, stillness, and love.
This is the healing that can happen when the soul is ready.
This is the power of remembrance, of forgiveness, of naming what once was silent.
And this is the kind of peace that transcends age, time, and space.
