Mandalas are visual cosmologies — concentric layers radiating outward from a still point, each ring a different domain: deity, palace, gates, elements, world. To create a mandala — and Tibetan monks spend weeks pouring colored sand into one only to sweep it away — is to make the cosmos with your hands and then to learn that the cosmos is impermanent.Un círculo cuyo centro está en todas partes. Buckminster Fuller's name for the cuboctahedron — the only geometric form in which all vectors radiating from the center are exactly equal in length and angle. Twelve identical edges, twelve identical vertices, eight triangular and six square faces, all in perfect mutual support. The deepest hypnotic state has this geometry.
