A Life Between Lives® case story · Luis Miguel Gallardo · 20 October 2026
On 20 October 2026 I facilitated a Life Between Lives® session with a woman I will call Maria. The full regression lasted four hours and sixteen minutes. She came, in her own words, "through curiosity rather than a need for definitive answers."
Maria trained in sociology and the study of emotions. Her work now spans leadership, human systems, wellbeing and consciousness. She wrote that she suspected her own analytical mind might be her main obstacle: the habit of interpreting an experience before allowing it.
She also arrived carrying an image she had never explained. A week after her first son was born, she saw a vast shadow move across the world, and a phoenix rise from beneath it and turn the darkness to light. That image returned at the very end of the session, in a new form.
What follows is her journey as she described it in trance, in the order it unfolded. I report her experience; I do not claim it as fact. She asked for exactly that: language offered as possibility, never imposed as interpretation.
01
The seven questions she brought
- What is the deeper purpose of my existence in this lifetime, and how does it relate to the path I am following?
- What am I here to understand, experience or contribute that I may not yet fully recognise?
- Are there recurring patterns, relationships or experiences in my life that carry a deeper meaning?
- What is the relationship between my individual consciousness and a wider, collective consciousness?
- Why have I always been drawn to understanding human beings, emotions, consciousness and the invisible dimensions of experience?
- What might I need to release, integrate or understand to enter the next chapter with greater freedom, coherence and trust?
- What connects love, consciousness and being human, and does anything of our individual awareness continue beyond physical death?

The journey
- Maria's Soul Journey. Meeting and remembering.
- 1. Childhood: A golden presence and celebrating dolphins. “The time is now.”
- 2. The womb: Brakes placed on a too-sensitive brain at chosen ages; the last one, now.
- 3. Christine, 1868: Healer’s hands, plant remedies, and the lesson: nature holds the answers.
- 4. The crossing: Moving through pixels of light. “This is my home.”
- 5. The guides: Uriel, Jesus, Mary Magdalene and two veiled ones: “You are one of us.”
- 6. The messages: Hope. Forgive yourself. No more sacrifice. Let your light shine. Go to the water.
- 7. The soul group: Mirrors by agreement. “And then we remember.”
- 8. The image returns: Shadow, phoenix, a circle of angels, and the sun rising.
- “You’re the incarnation of love on this earth.”
Childhood: a presence that was always there
We began by walking back through her childhood. At twelve, at a cousin's sleepover, she found a room full of presence: golden and white light, warmth she could still feel as she spoke, dolphins and whales that "know me and they're celebrating." A being with an elongated face sent golden light from its forehead to her heart. Its message was short: the time is now.
At seven, in her parents' bedroom, she felt the heavy energy of an argument she was never told about. Yet she said, "I also felt very loved and very protected." At three, she slid down a forbidden pole, hurt her face, and watched herself step out of her body to go swimming in the river. Everyone around her panicked. She was happy.
The womb: installing brakes
In her mother's womb the body felt strange, as if it were still outside her. She said she joined it at two months, slowly.
Then came one of the session's clearest images. The brain she was entering felt "almost not human", powerful and already working hard. So she began, in her words, installing brakes on it: layers of protection timed for different ages. She named them one by one, from nine months through childhood and her twenties into her thirties, ending with "the last one" at the present stage of her life, "and then no more brakes."
In her intake Maria had asked why she suppressed the sensitivity she had as a child. Here the session offered an image rather than a verdict: the closing down as something she chose, as protection, with an end date.
She described the body as very dense, and said it could become lighter through sound: the sea, heartbeat, deep voices singing, flowing water, birds. She chose it, she said, because its story, its genes and its blood would let her continue her journey.
A life as Christine, 1868
She stepped out of a tunnel of light into a forest of very tall trees. She was barefoot, in a thick, rough, dark brown dress, with loose hair and a ring set with a green stone. Her name was Christine. The year was 1868, and she spoke English.
At around twenty she was in a kitchen with pain in her belly while a woman brewed her a remedy of plants. On the table stood oils that smelled like the ones Maria uses today: lemongrass, mint. Christine was learning about health, especially women's health.
Later she was hiding in a cave with people from her town, telling stories while something unfolded outside. On her last day, in old age, she lay in bed with a priest present, surrounded by purple light.
Looking back, she called it a quiet life, harder at times, ending well, with a sense of accomplishment. She had shared knowledge simply by being present. Its lessons: nature holds many of her answers; trust the wisdom and intuition already inside; the feminine knows.
Then her hands came alive. She felt a great current of energy running into them, the healing power Christine had carried. At the moment of death she clung to it, and to the people she loved. She wanted to pass that power on to her son before she could let go. Her mother was waiting on the other side, with others behind her, telling her they were proud of her life.
The crossing
What came next did not look like a tunnel. She moved through "pixels": patterns of light she could play with and become anything, a flower, a baby, an animal, water that was and was not water. "This is my home," she said. "I feel really emotional."
Three figures she had met many times before came to greet her: the archangel Uriel, Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Two more stood with them whose faces she was not allowed to see, shapeless as shadows, and also family. They circled her. Their message was simple: you are one of us.

What the guides told her
The guides often spoke all at once, loudly, and laughed a great deal. Maria kept noting their sense of humour. Again and again, when she asked a question, they answered that she already knew.
Love.
Drawn to the deeper voices, she turned to Jesus. She heard: "You're the incarnation of love on this earth," and that through love she would find the answer.
“You're the incarnation of love on this earth.”
Hope.
When she asked about her purpose, the word that came was hope. They laughed at the question. She saw herself bringing hope first to her mother, and through her to more and more people. There will be hard times, they said, really hard, and she is bringing hope into them: keep doing what you are doing.
Forgiveness.
Asked which pattern she could release, they sent her inward. Long ago she had done something she was not supposed to do, to protect someone. Her sense of not being worthy, they said, is tied to that. The work now is to forgive herself, because she acted from love.
No more sacrifice.
This was the message that moved her most. She said sacrifice had been a big feeling across her life. The answer was no: "You don't have to sacrifice." She has to be selfish, "good selfish," like putting on your own oxygen mask before helping others. Still in service, but no longer hiding. Her light may make some people uncomfortable; she is protected and may shine anyway. After lifetimes of sacrifice, this is a life in which she can play, rejoice and enjoy small moments of pleasure.
"You are your worst enemy."
They repeated that she is protected, has always been protected, and that the burdens she carries are largely her own.
The hands.
Christine came to greet her, and Maria felt her entering her body. When she wants to use her hands, they told her, she should feel Christine with her. They also spoke of a sword of hope and light that is already in her power: when you use your hands, use the sword.
Possibility.
"Always see possibility. That is my greatest gift," she reported. She saw herself as a spiral moving inside a spiral galaxy, and people who want to put the spiral in a box, distracting her with limits and details. The guides showed her doing a cartwheel in a swimming pool: go back to being you.
Water.
Whales, dolphins and sharks surrounded her and made her very happy. In water, she said, she connects with her soul. The instruction was plain: go to the water, spend as much time in it as you can. When in water, imagine the pixels; that is how things shift, in yourself and in others.
Staying.
Her guides then showed her something she did not consciously remember. During the birth of her second son she lost a great deal of blood. They called it an exit point, an open door she could have taken. She saw herself in theatre, choosing love, choosing to come back. She shared it, she said, in case it helps others. They told her there may be another such moment, that the choice is hers, and that they want her to stay until the end.
People.
Her awakening, they said, happens through links with people, who arrive and click something open. "Connect, connect, connect." She saw a net, like a cell, with some lights shining brighter than others: swim to those lights. She saw circles of people around the world helping each other peel away layers until they can fully trust themselves and one another.
Grounding.
Finally they showed her roots growing so she does not leave the Earth before her time, and asked her to use the earth element and the strength of a lion to use her power wisely. Travel is coming: Egypt, and somewhere in the East, where something will feel like a revelation in perhaps three to five years.
Why Earth, of all places? "I chose it," she said: to serve the planet and humanity, and to learn to forgive herself.

The soul group: meeting and remembering
Asked to look at herself as a soul, she saw golden and white, with a little blue. Then her soul companions came, one by one and in groups, with more still coming.
Why do they keep incarnating together? Because they share one purpose. They move in and out of each other's lives, "activating or deactivating things," as reminders of what they came to do. "We become each other's mirrors." Sometimes one of them agrees, beforehand, to take a harder role so another can learn what they need to learn. The mission underneath is always love, light and joy, "creative joy," because joy can create life.
And how do they find each other? Through something deeply shared: a passion, a meaning, a role. "Through that connection we become aware of each other. And then we remember."
In her intake Maria had written that some people arrive "not as complete strangers," as if "we are meeting and remembering at the same time." Her guides gave her own sentence back to her.
The group showed her an architecture: a structure that holds circles and spirals of people transforming one another. She is part of building it. Some will be afraid to step in, because inside they find themselves and their freedom. "I can't force them. I just need to offer," with patience and love. They named the tools she would use: meditation, coaching, transpersonal coaching and psychology, hypnosis, AI, and guiding people to safe places where they can connect.
Overseeing this group of five, she said, is Mary Magdalene. Her counsel was not to go back to older wisdom, because "you are creating wisdom."

The white city, and the image that came back
Near the end they showed her ruins of an ancient city under the sea, and then a city that was not human: very white and transparent, almost like ice, with buildings taller than anything she had seen. Asked what to do with all of this, they said: keep talking and writing.
Then, as she looked up, the white towers became angel wings: very tall angels standing in a circle around her, and a sun rising from behind them.
She recognised it. It was the vision from the difficult days after her first son's birth: the world ending, the shadow, the phoenix bringing light back to the Earth. Now she saw what lay beyond the phoenix: the towers that became angels, and the sunrise. She said the image brought her a great deal of peace.
05
Her seven questions, and what came
None of these are answers in the sense of proof. They are what arrived when each question met the session.
Her question
1. Deeper purpose, and how it relates to her path
What the session offered
Hope. She is to bring hope into hard times, and to keep doing what she is already doing.
Her question
2. What she is here to understand or contribute
What the session offered
Seeing possibility, her "greatest gift"; helping build an architecture where circles of people transform each other; healing through her hands.
Her question
3. Recurring patterns and relationships
What the session offered
Soul companions who act as mirrors and reminders, by agreement. An old pattern of sacrifice and unworthiness, rooted in an act she must forgive herself for.
Her question
4. Individual and collective consciousness
What the session offered
Circles connecting energetically across the Earth; awakening that happens through links between people.
Her question
5. Her lifelong pull toward the invisible
What the session offered
A sensitivity she was born with and protected with "brakes" at chosen ages, the last placed at the present; childhood visits to a spiral galaxy in dreams.
Her question
6. What to release for the next chapter
What the session offered
Sacrifice and hiding. Forgive herself, put on her own oxygen mask first, let her light shine, play, ground herself, go to the water.
Her question
7. Love, consciousness, and continuity after death
What the session offered
"You're the incarnation of love on this earth." She met a past self, saw her past-life mother waiting, and recalled choosing love to return from an exit point in this life.

A facilitator's reflection
Maria feared her analytical mind would get in the way. It did not. She stayed lucid throughout, at one point remarking that she was very aware she was talking to me as a human, and still she let the experience lead. When the words ran out she said so, and kept perceiving.
Three threads stay with me. First, the brakes: a closing-down she had carried as loss returned as an act of care, with its final brake set at the present. Second, her own phrase about meeting and remembering came back from her soul group almost word for word. Third, the vision that had puzzled her for years was completed: the shadow and the phoenix now lead to a circle of angels and a sunrise.
The guides' warning that "it's gonna feel heavy before it feels light" points at something I see in many sessions. As I often say, "Fundamental Peace is not the absence of pain… it is the transmutation of its energy into love and compassion." Maria's journey was that movement, from sacrifice toward a love that includes herself.
Her homework, by her guides' account, is ordinary and concrete: water, meditation, nature, people, talking and writing. Integration matters as much as the session itself, and she has asked for quiet time to let it settle.
