The launch

A musical that transmutes the world

For everyone who has ever forgotten — and a chance, that night, to remember. Unlocking Your Light Within is a musical for the whole family, and a rite of passage disguised as a show. Across roughly two hours of shared breath, one community-garden seedling and sixty seconds of held silence, it converts the audience's inherited pain into love and compassion — not metaphorically, bodily, repeatedly, every night the curtain rises.

Book and lyrics are by Prof. Luis Miguel Gallardo, founder of the World Happiness Foundation (UN ECOSOC Consultative Status). The Jaipur launch on Monday 12 October 2026 — deliberately placed the day after the Global Happiness Forum & Festival closes — brings the work into the world at the exact geography where our movement gathers: India's Pink City, the loom on which Happytalism has quietly been woven for three editions.

The story

An eight-year-old walks down the aisle

Lia is eight years old. She has been sitting in the audience the whole time, indistinguishable from any other child. When Felicia — a warm, ancient figure rooted at the base of a great suspended tree — calls out into the dark theatre, Lia answers. Over the next two hours, four Meta Pets guide her through the alchemy of consciousness: descent through shadow, river and fire; climb through heart, voice, vision and spirit; return home transformed.

She also meets The Severance — an antagonist who is not the enemy. He is the embodied lie of I am alone, the part of every adult in the room that has been protecting them so long it forgot there was anything else. He is not defeated. He is integrated. In a single eight-second silence near the end, the lights go out and lifetimes pass. When they come up, an older woman is sitting where Lia was — Lia at seventy — and every audience member's phone lights up with three words: You are home.

Why Jaipur, and why the day after the Forum

The Global Happiness Forum & Festival is the movement's yearly convergence — two days of dialogue, science, artisanship, education and celebration. Unlocking is the same message in another language: theatre. Where the Forum argues that a happier civilisation is possible, the musical rehearses it — in one auditorium, in one evening, in one body at a time.

Placing the launch on Monday 12 October 2026 — the day after GHFF closes — is intentional. Delegates who arrived as scientists, policy-makers, artisans and educators leave as witnesses to the same alchemy the Forum stands for, now embodied on stage.
