This method—a card-based system of 64 cosmic creatures—is both deeply symbolic and wonderfully accessible. Each Meta Pet invites us into a journey of self-inquiry and ego deconstruction, offering a playful yet profound mirror of who we are beneath our surface identities. In this article, I want to share with you how Meta Pets came into being, how they work, and how you can use them in your professional practice to guide transformation through the magic of symbolic play.

How Meta Pets Were Born

The Meta Pets system wasn’t born in a lab or on a whiteboard. It emerged from my own contemplative practice, dreams, rituals, and conversations with seekers, healers, and visionaries from around the world. One pivotal moment came while I was standing before a painting by a Mexican shaman in San Miguel de Allende. The artwork pulsed with animal archetypes dancing in cosmic circles, like a forgotten language of the soul. That moment stirred something ancient in me. I began receiving images—hybrid animals, colors, symbols—that felt like invitations from another realm.

I selected four animals that felt essential to my story: the deer, the dragon lizard, the eagle, and the elephant. From that blend came Felicia, the first Meta Pet—an archetypal guide of connection, transformation, perspective, and wisdom. Felicia became the mascot of the World Happiness Fest and, eventually, the maternal source of all 64 Meta Pets that followed.

Over the years, I wove together threads from my studies in non-dual wisdom, Jungian depth psychology, the Gene Keys and Dream Arc, hypnotherapy, and neuroscience. I realized that if we could represent our inner patterns with mythic clarity—and approach them with curiosity and compassion—we could gently deconstruct the ego and reweave a more integrated sense of self. The Meta Pets Method is my answer to that possibility.

What Is a Meta Pet?

Each Meta Pet is a fantastical creature composed of three symbolic animals. More than just whimsical art, each card carries three transformative layers:

• The Shadow: a disowned, suppressed, or distorted part of ourselves.
• The Gift: the power that emerges when we work with that shadow.
